Caterina Politi
Caterina Politi, is a Berlin-based freelance artist, costume designer, and performer, born in Italy in 1994. She trained at the Balletto di Toscana in Florence. In 2013, she joined the choreographic research group “Antitesi,” led by Arianna Benedetti, and in 2015 became a member of “Junior Balletto di Toscana.” In 2016, she attended professional courses at the D.A.F Dance Arts Faculty in Rome and later joined “Spellbound Contemporary Ballet” (IT) under the direction of Mauro Astolfi and Valentina Marini. Since then, she has performed internationally for renowned choreographers such as Mauro Astolfi, Marcos Morau, Sang Jijia, and Jean Guillaume Weis. Since 2022, she has been collaborating with Frantics Dance Company (DE), performing internationally in the duet “Ordinary.” Since 2023 She is also part of the production “The House of Trouble” with Aerites Dance Company (GR), directed by Patricia Apergi, which is touring globally. In the same year she performed in the site-specific performance “Dance MyS+eries(*) / Season 2”, a production of the 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture and U(R)TOPIAS Academy of Choreography. Since 2023, she has been involved in the production “Destination FCKD” as both performer and costume designer for Hungry Sharks (AT), which is currently on tour. Since 2024, she collaborate with Wang Ramirez (FR) as performer and stylist in numerous private events (Hermes,Levis BNP Paris..) and now in the production “A l’origine,” which had premiered in February 2025 in France. She has taught at various institutions, including the D.A.F. Dance Arts Faculty (Italy), Teatro Dell’ Opera Di Roma (Italy), CDSH (Hamburg), Artedanza (Italy), Ukrainian Ballet Academy (Italy) and Emotion Taneční Studio (Prague) while also leading workshops internationally. Additionally, she was Mauro Astolfi’s assistant and is currently assisting Marco Di Nardo in his creative process, including the work “Re-ternal” for Tanzeit Campus Company. Caterina has merged her vision to retail working for ADDDRESS in Berlin, while also designing costumes for local independent artists.
