Gintarė Masteikaitė
Gintarė Masteikaitė is a passionate cultural leader and producer in the performing arts. Since 2017, she has served as the director of the Lithuanian Dance Information Centre and the artistic director of the "New Baltic Dance" festival. In 2019, Gintarė founded the "ConTempo" international performing arts festival, showcasing her vision for innovative cultural programming. From 2018 to 2021, she was the Curator of Performing Stage Arts for Kaunas – European Capital of Culture, where she spearheaded new initiatives, strategies, and co-productions, while building international networks and fostering audience development. In 2020, Gintarė took on the role of head of the Association of Non-Governmental Performing Arts Organizations, further solidifying her commitment to the performing arts sector. Over the past 19 years, she has been deeply involved in cultural management, representation, and the internationalization of the arts, with a particular focus on contemporary dance and circus. A key advocate for cultural policy development, Gintarė has played a pivotal role in elevating contemporary dance in public discourse and advancing audience engagement across Lithuania. Her passion lies in mentoring young artists and cultural professionals, generously sharing her experience to inspire and guide the next generation of creative leaders.
